The Office of the Chief Minister Northern Territory, shares a media release showcasing the 2021 Parrtjima Festival and the region’s commitment to innovative cultural experiences.
The partnership between AGB Creative, Journey Beyond and Northern Territory Tourism bring a unique blend of immersive light installations, Indigenous art and cultural enrichment to the Parrtjima Festival. PARRT J I MA
Anthony Bastic AM, CEO of AGB Creative, said:
“In developing creative concepts like this it reminds us of the importance in connecting people. On this occasion, by involving the Ghan with Parrtjima, we’re highlighting pathways and moving forward which ties in with the ‘Future Kultcha’ theme for Parrtjima 2021. The Ghan connects people and Parrtjima connects people through light.”
The Ghan, known for being one of the greatest train journeys, was transformed into a moving art masterpiece. The spectacular installation, designed by Chantelle Mulladad, depicts her sense of country, culture, and self. This design wrapped around three carriages on the famous train as it made its journey from Darwin to Alice Springs in the Northern Territory
