ConceptDhai Dubai was conceived as a cultural counterpoint to ICOM 2025: a contemporary art program that reflected the UAE’s creative identity while welcoming a global audience. The brief: six public artworks, all light-based, to be displayed across Expo City Dubai. The artworks needed to be visually powerful, culturally grounded, and technically deliverable at scale – all within a tight timeframe and international context..Our methodology began with deep listening. AGB collaborated directly with six commissioned Emirati artists – Mohammed Kazem, Khalid AlBanna, Alia Bin Omair, AlZaina Lootah, Ahmad AlAreef, and Hessa Alghandi, to translate each artist’s idea into large-scale exhibition pieces. This involved curatorial development, visual concepting, digital rendering, fabrication briefing, and integration into the Expo City public domain.
Dhai Dubai launched to coincide with the opening of ICOM 2025, transforming Expo City into a glowing canvas of artistic dialogue. Each installation was a conversation in light — rooted in Emirati identity, elevated by public engagement, and delivered through international creative collaboration. The project exemplified AGB’s approach: deep thinking, cultural respect, and storytelling at scale. From concept to delivery, Dhai Dubai reflects what sets us apart — not just spectacle, but meaning, made visible.
