The Northern Territory Office of the Chief Minister shared a Media Release unveiling the diverse and vibrant program for Parrtjima – A Festival in Light 2021, featuring world-class artists, musicians, speakers, workshops, and films centred around the theme ‘Future Kultcha.’
The event, supported by the Territory Labor Government and delivered through NT Major Events Company and AGB Creative showcases the Northern Territory’s vibrant arts and culture scene while boosting tourism and the local economy.
The media release highlights:
- Parrtjima’s large-scale light installations, interactive workshops, music performances by renowned Australian artists, and talks by acclaimed speakers, including award-winning Bruce Pascoe and Professor Marcia Langton AM.
- The Festival activities ranging from fabric workshops and bushfood tastings to painting and metal sculpture masterclasses, providing a rich cultural experience for attendees of all ages.

Parrtjima Curator Rhoda Roberts AO said:
“Enabling young guest curators such as Electric Fields and Rhyan Clapham AKA Dobby to play a part in this year’s program gives a distinct voice of the next generation and their connection to the ancient footprints of their ancestors.”
