George P. Johnson, Sydney’s top experience marketing agency, enlisted AGB Creative’s CEO Anthony Bastic AM, for creative direction at the Sydney Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Highlights included Australian Army Pipes and Drums opening with Australia’s most iconic song ‘You’re the Voice’; plus, a collaboration featuring Kate Cebrano, Ian Moss, and William Barton performing ‘Flame Trees’ with a cameo by Sharon Strzelecki (Magda Szubanski).
The Closing Ceremony was electric, showcasing acts like Chris Tamwoy, Marliya Choir, Birds of Tokyo, Starley, and Colin Hay. The Grand Finale with Aloe Blacc singing ‘Wake Me Up’ brought tears of joy to the crowd. Both ceremonies were watched live by 12,000 people each and garnered 3.9 million global viewers, hailed as a magnificent success.
