The NSW Government wanted to thank frontline workers for their efforts throughout the COVID pandemic, with a memorable celebration on New Year’s Eve.
AGB Creative turned one of Sydney’s major pieces of infrastructure, the Cahill Expressway, into an entertainment venue for a concert with iconic Australian artists like Jimmy Barnes and Delta Goodrem.
The “Blue Moment” at 10pm bathed Sydney in blue, the recognised colour of healthcare workers. Landmarks and vessels in the ‘Lights On’ parade turned blue, encouraging viewers to say cheers. The Sydney Harbour Bridge pylons and AMP Building projected images of frontline workers, in honour and celebration of their incredible work.
Cheers! was broadcast nationally on the ABC.
